Edited byJuly 24, 2019Photomontage is usually understood as creating complete images from parts of different photos. This technique is widely used for making advertising banners, personalised e-cards, funny pictures, etc. Usually, making a professional photomontage requires hours of hard work in complicated photo editing programs. However, a simple photomontage can be created even by a complete beginner! If you have no or little experience in photo editing, we recommend you try Movavi Photo Editor – an easy-to-use picture montage program. You can create stunning pictures with Movavi Photo Editor. The program includes basic photomontage tools as well as many other useful functions:.
Object and background removal tools. Copying and pasting image fragments.
A variety of stylish effects and filters (Black and White, Sepia, Oil Painting, etc.). Color parameter adjustments (Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, etc.).
Cropping and rotation tools. Customizable captions. And much more! From this tutorial you will learn how to remove unwanted objects from a photo and replace a background using Movavi Photo Editor. Just download the appropriate version of the software and follow the steps below.
Open the Object Removal tab. Select Brush and fully cover the objects you want to remove with red highlighting. You can also use Magic Wand or Lasso to mark the unneeded objects.
If you highlighted more than required, use Eraser to clear the excess. Then, click Start Erasing to remove the marked objects. The automatic removal may leave behind some blemishes on a photo. To get rid of those, use the Stamp tool. With its help you can copy the appropriate part of the image to cover up the flaws. Select Stamp from the editing panel, hold down the Alt key and left-click on the area you want to copy. After that, just paint over the blemishes. To resize or rotate the saved fragment, drag the Arrows icon in appropriate direction, as shown in the screen image.
Here you can also soften object edges by dragging the Blur edges slider. Now you can choose the background color or leave it transparent. To set an image as a background, click Add Image. Choose a picture from our collection or hit Upload to find one from your computer. Click Apply, when you’re satisfied with the final result. To cancel all changes to the image made in this step, click Reset. Now open the image you want to put the copied fragment into and click the Paste button (or click the right mouse button and choose Paste). You can also use the Paste an Image button.
Drag the new element to the desired position in the image. You can change the size of the fragment or rotate it using the Arrows button, as described in step 4. Toggle the Shadow switch if you want the inserted fragment to cast a shadow into the original image or add a colored outline using the Outline option. Finally, click Apply to save the changes.
